The Death Wish Series and the Old Testament

This website is set up for my Religion class project. In it, I will explore the religious themes of Charles Bronson's series of action movies, from "Death Wish" to "Death Wish 5". In the films, there are many ideas that are seemingly taken from the Old Testament, including vengeance, the Book of Job, and the smiting of those who don't follow the rules. The film series deals with Paul Kersey, once a mild-mannered architect who becomes the personification of what seems to be an angry God`s will, who roams the streets with an arsenal of weapons, to protect the innocent from the degenerates and criminals who rape and kill, much like what has been described in many aspects of the Old Testament, especially certain aspects of the Deuteronomic Code.
